No inks, no. I'm using tamiya paints, and sometimes the washes look a bit shiny if they pool too much. I only use citadel metallics on my models. The camera flash doesn't exactly do the shiny areas any favours either.
If you don't like it.... ... tough. Not my problem.
Although I don't like the Isengard Troll (read: hate), I do like how you assembled and painted it! Great job! That is the first Isengard Troll that I have ever seen that looks good! Great job!
(Still won't be buying the model: I don't like the whole concept of a Troll of Isengard.)
I'm not a fan of Isengard Trolls either. I'll use it as a Mordor Troll as I just used the Isengard parts for variation. Anyway, I couldn't play with an Isengard army if I wantef too - I own no uruk-hai.

I like how the banner turned out for the Haradrim. Sculpted (icons) banners dont allow for people to be creative like this and so it is nice to see.
As for trolls, i always like them. Your dark scheme looks great on it. I think it is hard to make them look bad because they are just cool models anyway. Of course with Isengard and Mordor trolls parts in the same kit it makes it so any purchase of a mordor troll supports the isengard troll as well. So to GW, people like Isengard trolls (or trolls in particular). Now if they would just sell a kit that had two troll bodies in it on a sprue they would have even more sales.
If they put two bodies in one kit, there will be no spur to buy another troll kit for getting second troll. So that's good for players but not for GW Blue Dragon, your Trolls are magnificent!
Due to a somewhat unfortunate lack of the right colours of paint, I'm not going to be painting much this week, other than as many movement trays as possible (I've got 36 infantry trays, 7 of which are finished). I'll try to get more paint asap.
