The Mouth of Sauron did not ride a horse in the books. At least I've never heard of a horse with flames instead of eyes!

With regard to orcs riding horses, Tolkien describes them as being bow-legged, which might make horse-riding a little complicated, but otherwise horses have no loyalty and would easily be used for a multitude of purposes. Sauron might well send spares to Harad and Rhun, or to equip the Minas Morgul cavalry.

Well, considering that horses are unlikely to be given 5-star treatment in mordor, I imagine they'll be just as nasty and foul tempered as wargs (only without the claws & teeth) so they won't be afraid of Orcs. So yeah, its not particularly far fetched to imagine horses being ridden by Orcs.

Havn't you heard of the Mongols? They made bow-leggedness an art form, thanks to their horses.

The horses would get eaten by their orc riders...
All that is gold does not glitter
Not all those who wander are lost.

I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and with my life I will protect you...

From the ashes a fire shall be woken
A light from the shadow shall spring.

Anduril! Anduril goes to war!

When they were no longer of any use. I'm sure the professional Orc riders would love to have a horse - they're fast, and when they past their use by date you can BBQ 'em

Tolkien described a column of black knights issuing out of Minas Morgul. The were riding horses.

I believe those were probably the Morgul Knights that GW has released. ;)
Better to keep your mouth shut and seem like a fool, than to open it and confirm that you are.

Orcs aren't very knightly now are they?

I believe they were Black Numenoreans, maybe even Easterlings of Haradrim, but certainly not Orcs, no.
Then again.. we are not sure they aren't Orcs, as he doesn't say what race they're of.
It's commonly believed though, that the black knights who rode after the Witch-King were indeed descendants of Black Numenoreans.
