What is Starcraft?

It's a totally awesome sci-fi game, set thousands of years in the future. The humans, (also known as Terrans), are ruled by a group known as "The Confederacy", who develop some crazy evil alien race to eat all of their enemies. Unfortunately they lose control of "Zerg", and alot of people die. All the while a shadowy high-tech race known as the "Protoss" are showing up at planets that have been attacked by the Zerg and blow it all up. Eventually the Confederacy is overthrown, but only after great loss of life. The Zerg continue to run rampant under the leadership of Sarah Kerrigan, Queen of Blades, who helped to save humanity from the Confederacy only to be betrayed by the man who pretended to be the savior of mankind. Overall, one of the greatest games of all time, and unfortunately not working on my computer right now. Starcraft 2 looks even better, but unfortunately I will have to wait for them to release it to the public. Have fun with it Erestor, someone has definitely smiled on you.

thanks aj, i dont mean to gloat but i can report that the second one is definately as good as the first, if not better.

It's perfectly alright, you do have reason to gloat, if I had been selected to beta test Starcraft 2 I would have been gloating like crazy . How's the campaign? Do they continue on from Brood War, or is it a totally new campaign, with new characters and plot twists? Sorry if I ask any questions that you can't answer, but I REALLY want to know about the game, so when it's released to the public I can have all the info I need to make an informed decision about whether to buy it. Please continue to have fun playing.

What is Starcraft?

You're asking what is Starcraft? It is one of the most cult and popular games of all time (2nd only to Counterstrike), a national SPORT of South Korea with hundreds of Professional players, millions of dollars in prize winnings and thousands spectators in arenas/stadiums wathing matches of the best players every week! (oh and my favourite game too)

I've been waiting for SC2 for years, I wish I had known about the Beta testing earlier, though I don't really have time for gaming lately (is it still open though?). Have fun Erestor of Rivendell
